Reverse description Oval hammered field bearing a two-line Arabic legend in Nasta'liq script, reading 'ضرب هرات' (zarb Herat), identifying the mint city of Herat. The lettering is boldly struck in raised relief, with decorative pellet ornaments visible between and around the inscription elements. The border is formed by the uneven edge of the hand-struck flan. The surface displays characteristic olive-brown patina consistent with provincial Afghan copper coinage of the Sadozai period.
