Stephen Album`s Checklist of Islamic Coins notes that Album # 3237 is a normal strike from the Isfahan mint, but that Album # 3237A is a prestigious strike from the Isfahan mint. “From the 1080s to the 1130s, some Isfahan fulus were struck on specially prepared broad flans, usually round but occasionally hexagonal or octagonal. They bore the same designs as the normal strikes, but were much more carefully struck on much broader and usually heavier planchets. They are commonly found holed, as they were intended for decorative purposes.” Album # 3237 is designated as Scarce (`S`). However, the example on this page is considered Very Rare (`RR`). Album # 3237 A is designated as Rare (`R`).
