| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a multi-line Arabic inscription contained within a plain square cartouche, the legend rendered in an angular Kufic-influenced script typical of early fifteenth-century Timurid copper coinage. The area between the square frame and the coin's irregular round border is filled with additional marginal lettering or decorative devices. The flan is broad and flat, with characteristic uneven edges resulting from the hand-struck hammered technique. The surfaces show a green-brown patina consistent with long burial, with moderate wear to the high points of the relief. |
