| Reverse description | The reverse displays multiple lines of Kufic Arabic script arranged horizontally across the field, recording the mint name Qinnasrin and additional formulaic religious or administrative text. The die-work is characteristic of Umayyad provincial copper production, with bold but somewhat roughly rendered letterforms. The flan is irregular and exhibits heavy dark patination with areas of corrosion consistent with prolonged burial. No decorative border or marginal legend is discernible, the inscription occupying the central field in its entirety. |
