| Reverse description | Within a double beaded border, three lines of Kufic Arabic legend fill the central field, presenting the second part of the Islamic profession of faith. The inscription is contained within a rectangular frame formed by horizontal rule lines, a hallmark of Andalusian fals coinage. The flan is irregular and the strike slightly off-center, consistent with hand-hammered production techniques of the Emirate period. |
