Reverse description Hammered copper reverse displaying a multi-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script arranged in horizontal registers across the central field. The legend incorporates the Shahada ('La ilaha illa Allah') alongside the mint name Arzan and the pious formula 'al-mulk lillah' (sovereignty belongs to God). The flan is irregular and somewhat broader than it is perfectly round, with patches of green cuprite patination obscuring portions of the outer legend. Die alignment is variable, typical of Ilkhanid provincial copper coinage of this period.
