Reverse description Arabic inscription disposed within the interstices and centre of a six-pointed star (hexagram) formed by two interlocking triangles, the geometric device enclosed within a plain circular border with an outer beaded ring. This hexagram device is characteristic of late Ilkhanid and Jalayirid fals coinage of the mid-14th century. The fields show extensive patination and corrosion typical of base-metal coinage of the period.
