Abu Sa'id Bahadur Khan inherited the Ilkhanate throne at twelve years old in 1316 and ruled until his death in 1335 — the last Ilkhan to hold the realm together without a rival claimant. His reign saw a genuine administrative consolidation after decades of succession violence, and copper fals of this period circulated widely in local bazaar economies across Persia and Iraq where silver dirhams were impractical for small transactions. The Album 2220 sun type belongs to a broader category of anonymous or semi-anonymous civic coppers whose attribution rests more on typological sequence than on explicit mint documentation.
