| Obverse description | Central field bears the first part of the Shahada in three lines of angular Kufic script, reading 'There is no god but God alone.' The central inscription is enclosed within a single inner circle, with a circular marginal legend in Kufic script running along the outer border. The coin exhibits the characteristic irregular flan and bold, deeply struck Kufic lettering typical of early Abbasid provincial copper coinage. The overall style is purely epigraphic, with no figural or decorative elements. |

| Reverse description | Central field displays the second part of the Islamic profession of faith in three lines of angular Kufic script, reading 'Muhammad is the Messenger of God.' The inscription is contained within a single raised inner circle, with a circular marginal legend in Kufic script encircling the outer border. Below the central field, a small group of pellets is visible in the lower portion of the inner circle, a feature commonly encountered on Abbasid fulus of this period and mint. The die work is consistent with the provincial hammered style of the Balkh mint. |
