| Obverse description | Central field features a circular inner legend enclosed within a beaded or rope border, with Arabic inscriptions arranged concentrically. The lettering, struck in relief on a roughly flan, displays the characteristic Kufic script of early Umayyad coinage. An outer marginal legend runs around the periphery of the coin, partially legible due to the irregular flan and die wear. The overall design follows the purely epigraphic tradition introduced under the monetary reform of Abd al-Malik, eschewing figural imagery entirely. The surface shows typical patination consistent with ancient copper coinage struck by hammered technique. |
