| Obverse description | Central field bears a three-line Arabic religious inscription arranged horizontally within a plain border, executed in the angular Kufic script characteristic of early Abbasid coinage. The legends read the shahada in abbreviated form. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, with typical hammered fabric showing uneven surfaces and flat die-struck legends.
