Reverse description Central field bearing Arabic Kufic inscriptions arranged in four horizontal lines, with a small star or pellet device positioned below the text field. The legends are enclosed within a simple linear border. The script style is characteristic of the Umayyad provincial mint at al-Andalus, with the angular Kufic letterforms typical of early 8th–10th century Iberian Islamic copper coinage. The flan is slightly irregular and the strike is moderately uneven, as is standard for hammered fals of this series.
