| Obverse description | Within a concave rhombus (lozenge-shaped incuse), the name of the sultan 'Jaqmaq' is inscribed in Arabic script, flanked by a decorative point on either side. The legend is centrally positioned within the geometric frame, which itself occupies the coin's field. The surrounding field is plain, consistent with the austere hammered coinage of the late Mamluk period. |
