| Obverse description | Central field bears a two-line Arabic Kufic inscription arranged horizontally across the flan, with a dotted border or pellet row visible along the left margin. The legend, characteristic of Zengid coinage of Aleppo, identifies the ruler al-Salih Isma'il. The die is crudely executed in the hammered tradition, with irregular flan edges and moderately worn relief typical of copper fals of this period. |
