Obverse description Central field bears a bold Kufic Arabic inscription arranged in multiple registers, reading the royal epithet of al-Malik al-Salih. The legend is rendered in angular, interlocking Kufic script characteristic of Zengid coinage of the late 12th century. The inscription is framed within a dotted border encircling the coin's periphery. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, with visible die wear consistent with hammered production.

Reverse description Central field displays a multi-line Kufic Arabic inscription occupying the full face, recording the name and lineage of the ruler Ismaʿil ibn Mahmud. The script is executed in the angular, monumental Kufic style typical of Zengid dynastic bronzes, with letters filling the field in tightly arranged horizontal registers. A dotted circular border encloses the inscription. The surface shows characteristic dark patination and edge irregularities resulting from the hammered striking process.
