Obverse description Multi-line Arabic inscription contained within a lobated square frame, itself set within a circular border. The legend, struck in relief on a flat field, displays the characteristic Ayyubid epigraphic style with angular Kufic-influenced characters. The overall design is typical of Ayyubid fals coinage, with the geometric framing device serving as the primary decorative and organizational element. The coin exhibits the irregular flan and uneven strike characteristic of hammered bronze production of the period.
