Obverse description The field is enclosed within a circular border of dots surrounding a single linear circle. The interior is divided into three horizontal registers by two parallel lines. The uppermost and lowermost registers contain portions of the Arabic legend, while the central register bears the principal titulature. The inscription identifies the issuer as al-Malik al-Nasir Hasan, son of Muhammad, and records the mint city of Damascus (Dimashq) along with the regnal year.
