Obverse description Irregular hammered copper flan with no border. A central inner circle contains the name فرج (Faraj) in Arabic script. A clockwise marginal legend in Arabic surrounds the central field, reading السلطان الملك الناصر (Sultan al-Malik al-Nasir). The legends are somewhat crude in execution, typical of provincial Mamluk copper coinage of the period.
