Obverse description The field is divided by two horizontal lines into three horizontal registers (fesse arrangement). The upper register bears the Arabic word ضرب (meaning 'struck'), the central register carries the royal titulature الملك الناصر (al-Malik al-Nasir), and the lower register reads بحماة (at Hamah), indicating the mint city. The entire design is enclosed within a border composed of a circular line surrounded by a ring of dots.
