Reverse description Central field bearing the Arabic mint and issue formula, reading 'Duriba bi-Hama' ('Struck at Hama'), identifying the Hamah mint in Syria as the place of production. The legend is struck in bold hammered Arabic script arranged across the flan. The strike is somewhat off-center and the flan edges are irregular, characteristic of Mamluk fals production of this period. The surface carries a heavy dark patina with traces of green copper corrosion visible towards the edges. No decorative border elements are present.
