Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend in Naskh script, arranged in two registers divided by a horizontal line. The upper register bears a brief honorific or invocatory formula, while the lower register displays the sultan's name and titulature. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the rim, consistent with hand-hammered manufacture. The relief of the inscriptions is bold but shows areas of flatness and surface corrosion typical of circulated Mamluk copper coinage. No decorative border or marginal legend is discernible on this side.
