Obverse description Central field bearing a four-line Arabic inscription within a square or rectangular frame, reading the royal titulature of the ruler. The legend is boldly struck in relief against a plain field, executed in the angular Kufic script typical of Artuqid copper coinage. The surrounding marginal area is plain, with irregular flan edges characteristic of hammered production. The overall design is purely epigraphic, with no figural or decorative elements.
