| Obverse description | Epigraphic field divided into three horizontal registers by two parallel lines, all contained within a plain round flan. The upper register bears the mint name بحماة (bi-Hamah), the central register carries the royal title الملك المنصور (al-Malik al-Mansur), and the lower register reads ضرب (duriba, meaning 'struck'). The Arabic Naskh lettering is bold and raised in high relief, characteristic of Mamluk hammered copper coinage. The flan is irregular and shows typical die-shift, with slight wear and patination consistent with circulation. |
