| Reverse description | Plain circular border enclosing a linear tetrafoil formed by four pointed arches, mirroring the obverse design and consistent with the decorative programme of Ayyubid fals coinage. The interstices of the tetrafoil contain Arabic inscriptions in the field, partially legible due to wear, likely including the mint name, date, or elements of the shahada. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, the result of the hammering technique employed at the Ayyubid mint. Overall design reflects the geometric aesthetic prevalent on Islamic copper coinage of the 13th century AH. |
