Obverse description The field is enclosed within a beaded border and divided by two horizontal lines into three registers. The uppermost register bears the mint name in Arabic script, the central register carries the royal title, and the lower register contains additional inscriptional elements. The arrangement is characteristic of Mamluk fulus coinage, with the text set in a plain field typical of the hammered copper issues of this period.
