Obverse description Arabic inscription in multiple lines occupying the central field of the flan, executed in a bold, somewhat irregular naskh script characteristic of Mamluk copper coinage. The legends, partially obscured by wear and the irregular hammered flan, reference the sultan's titulature. The field shows typical surface texture of a struck copper fals, with granular patina and areas of encrustation consistent with extended circulation.

Reverse description A lion passant to the left rendered in low relief within a plain circular border, depicted in a stylised heraldic manner typical of Mamluk fals coinage of the mid-fourteenth century. The animal is shown in profile with its body elongated and tail raised, occupying the majority of the central field. The broad, irregular flan and shallow strike result in partial definition of the design, with surface wear softening the finer details of the lion's musculature and features.
