| Obverse description | Central field bears a boldly struck Arabic religious inscription arranged in four lines within a circular border, surrounded by a marginal legend in Arabic script. The die-struck lettering proclaims the Shahada in its two-part form, with the Tawhid formula occupying the upper lines and the testimony of the Prophet in the lower register. The fields show typical characteristics of hammered copper coinage, with slightly uneven strike and natural flan irregularities. An outer beaded or rope-pattern border frames the marginal inscription, itself enclosed within the coin's irregular rim. |
