Obverse description Hammered copper fals of irregular round flan, struck in the name of the Ilkhanid ruler Abu Sa'id Bahadur Khan. The obverse presents a multi-line Arabic legend arranged within the field, reading the Shahada (Islamic profession of faith) above and the ruler's name and title below. The script is in a characteristic Ilkhanid Kufic-influenced style, with the inscription occupying the majority of the coin's surface. The flan edges are notably uneven and show characteristic chipping and patchy green patination consistent with extended burial. No mint name or date appears on this face.
