| Obverse description | The obverse features a complex composition in gold-plated and silver relief, with a panoramic cityscape of Ljubljana in the upper field and an Alpine mountain landscape in the lower field. At centre, two interlocking circular medallions are depicted in relief: the left showing a stylised star motif with the legend referencing the EU presidency period and the motto FACTA LOQUUNTUR, the right showing a field of EU stars with the inscription REPUBLIKA SLOVENIJA 2008 and the numeral 30. Flanking coin motifs and a border of stars complete the design, with the legend REPUBLIKA SLOVENIJA arching along the top rim. |
