Obverse description Quartered shield occupying the central field, displaying in the first and fourth quarters the rampant Bohemian lion, in the second quarter the coat of arms of Brabant, and in the third that of Luxembourg. The shield is surrounded by a circular legend in uncial Latin characters and enclosed within an outer beaded or pearled border, consistent with the hammered coinage style of the mid-fourteenth century.
