The Jamaica Public Service Co. Limited was the island's primary utility and transport conglomerate through much of the twentieth century, operating bus routes, electricity generation, and street tramways under one corporate umbrella — an unusual consolidation for a Caribbean territory of Jamaica's size. Employee fare tickets of this kind were issued as a staff benefit, allowing workers to ride company-operated routes at no personal cost. They were never intended for general circulation and rarely survived in quantity; most were used and discarded within a single working week.
