Reverse description Crowned shield of France bearing three fleurs-de-lis arranged in the traditional French royal arms, centered in the field. The shield is surmounted by an elaborate royal crown with fleurs-de-lis and arches. The Latin legend encircles the design, and the mint mark identifying the issuing workshop appears in the exergue beneath the shield. The date is incorporated into the reverse legend.
