| Reverse description | A large shield bearing the simple arms of Lorraine — three diagonal bands (bendlets) charged with three alerions — surmounted by a ducal crown composed of alternating fleurs-de-lis and cross motifs. The crowned shield occupies the central field, with the circular Latin legend IN · TE · DOMINE · SPERAVI ('In you, Lord, I place my trust') and the date 1702 disposed around it near the milled border. The design is rendered in a clean, formal heraldic style consistent with the milled coinage of the Duchy of Lorraine under Leopold I. |
