Obverse description Armored bust of Henri I, Duke of Longueville, facing left, wearing a ruff collar and cuirass with elaborately decorated pauldron. The effigy is rendered in a late Renaissance style with fine engraving of the facial features and short curled hair. The portrait is contained within a beaded inner circle, surrounded by the Latin legend separated by dots and a fleur-de-lis ornament. The rope-bordered outer rim frames the entire design.
