Reverse description The quartered royal arms of Philip II as Count of Hainaut, displayed on a large heraldic shield surmounted by an open imperial crown, occupying the central field. The elaborate collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece encircles the shield, its links and pendant fleece rendered in fine relief characteristic of hammered coinage. The circular Latin legend PACE ET IVSTITIA runs around the periphery of the field, separated from the edge by a border of beads.
