| Obverse description | Laureate and flower-wreathed bust of Europa facing left, her hair elaborately dressed in an Art Nouveau style, enclosed within a wreath of olive branches tied at the base with a fasces-like ornament at each side. The legend EUROPA appears in the lower field beneath the bust, with the Roman numeral III below it indicating the third issue in the series. The engraver's signature P. RODIER is inscribed vertically to the right of the bust, while the fineness and weight inscription AG .925 0/00 40 G. appears along the left inner field. The border is composed of fine beading. |
