Reverse description Central field displays a floriated cross pattée with elaborate decorative terminals, each arm ending in a trefoil or floral motif, creating a bold and symmetrical composition typical of late medieval French hammered gold coinage. Four crowns occupy the angles between the arms of the cross. The design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the Christus vincit devotional legend distributed around the outer margin between beaded borders.
