The date 1760 appears in the field, and the denomination 2 GULDEN is inscribed below the shield. The surrounding circular Latin legend MON.ARG.CIVIT.GEDANENSIS identifies this as a silver coin of the city of Danzig, with the entire composition reflecting the proud civic heraldry of the Royal Prussian city.
