Reverse description The Polish crowned eagle displayed with wings spread occupies the central field, rendered in a vigorous Baroque engraving style typical of the Wschowa mint. The eagle bears a shield on its breast and is depicted with talons extended downward. The date 1650 is prominently placed in the upper field, divided across the eagle's head. The circumferential Latin legend MONETA AVRE R – EGNI POLONIAE encircles the design, denoting this as gold coinage of the Kingdom of Poland. The reverse is bordered by a milled or grained rim consistent with the obverse.
