Obverse description Crowned and armored bust of King John II Casimir Vasa facing right, wearing a elaborately ornamented crown and draped in a fur-lined royal mantle fastened at the shoulder with a decorative clasp. The effigy displays the king with long flowing hair and a prominent mustache, rendered in high relief in the baroque style characteristic of the Kraków mint. A beaded inner circle frames the portrait, with the royal titulary legend distributed around the periphery of the field.
