Reverse description The quartered royal arms of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth occupy the central field, surmounted by a royal crown with elaborate ornamentation and flanked by the mint-master's initials T-T (Titus Livy Boratini, mint master at Bydgoszcz) on either side of the shield. The quartered shield displays the White Eagle of Poland, the Lithuanian Pahonia, the Vasa dynastic arms, and the Sheaf of the Piast dynasty. A beaded inner circle surrounds the arms. The circular Latin legend reads MON NOVA AUR – EA REG POL 1660 T-T, denoting a new gold coin of the Polish realm with the date 1660.
