Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of King Stanisław August Poniatowski, crowned with a jewelled royal crown, rendered in a refined baroque portrait style. The king's effigy is depicted with naturalistic detail, including a lace-trimmed collar. The surrounding legend reads STANISLAUS AUG. D. G. REX POL. M. D. L., denoting his title as King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania by the grace of God.

Reverse description The crowned arms of Gdańsk — featuring two silver crosses on a red field surmounted by a royal crown — are displayed centrally within an ornate baroque cartouche flanked by elaborate foliate mantling. The date 1765 appears in the exergue below the shield. The circumferential legend MON. AUR. CIVIT. GEDANENSIS. 1765. identifies this as a gold coin of the City of Gdańsk.
