| Obverse description | Radiate or laureate bust of Vespasian facing right, rendered as a bare-headed, draped effigy with a small globe at the point of the neck, a hallmark feature of this issue. The emperor's portrait is rendered with characteristic Flavian realism, conveying a mature, authoritative physiognomy with prominent brow and strong jaw. The encircling Latin legend runs clockwise from the lower left, naming the emperor with his full imperial titulature.
