Obverse description Radiate or laureate bust of Vespasian facing right, rendered as a bare-headed, draped effigy with a small globe at the point of the neck, a hallmark feature of this issue. The emperor's portrait is rendered with characteristic Flavian realism, conveying a mature, authoritative physiognomy with prominent brow and strong jaw. The encircling Latin legend runs clockwise from the lower left, naming the emperor with his full imperial titulature. The field is plain, with the bust occupying the central design in a bold, high-relief style typical of Julio-Claudian and Flavian bronze coinage.
