Obverse description Radiate bust of Vespasian facing right, rendered with characteristic realism of Flavian portraiture, the crown of radiating spikes clearly delineated above his broad, fleshy features. The emperor is depicted bare-headed save for the radiate crown, with the neck truncation visible at the coin's lower field. A continuous Latin legend encircles the effigy within the beaded border, identifying the emperor by his full titulature.
