| Obverse description | Radiate head of Vespasian facing right, portrayed with characteristic realism in the Flavian style, showing the emperor's distinctive broad features and strong jaw. The bust is draped, with the aegis or paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The encircling Latin legend reads IMP CAES VESPASIANVS AVG COS III, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The portrait exhibits the bold, naturalistic sculptural quality typical of Flavian imperial coinage struck at the Rome mint. The coin displays a rich green patina consistent with its orichalcum composition and age. |
