Reverse description The goddess Concordia is depicted seated left upon a high-backed throne, her draped figure rendered in classical style. She extends her right hand forward, holding a patera, while her left hand rests upon a cornucopia or sceptre resting against her side. The legend CONCORD AVGVST arcs around the field from left to right, invoking imperial harmony. The senatorial authorisation mark S C (Senatus Consultum) appears prominently in the lower exergual area, flanking the base of the throne, as was standard on Flavian aes coinage struck at Rome.
