Obverse description Radiate bust of Titus facing right, draped at the shoulder, with a small globe at the point of the neck truncation, a typical Flavian iconographic convention distinguishing the dupondius from the as. The effigy is rendered in the prevailing Roman imperial portrait style of the Vespasianic era, with the legend disposed around the periphery in a continuous circular arrangement. Surface shows heavy patination consistent with prolonged circulation and burial, with green and brown encrustation obscuring some fine portrait detail.
