| Obverse description | Bare-headed, laureate and draped bust of Hadrian facing left, with characteristic short beard, set within a circular border. The emperor is depicted with his well-known physiognomic traits — a broad forehead, curled hair, and full beard — rendered in a naturalistic Antonine style. The peripheral Latin legend runs clockwise around the bust. The flan shows the typical irregular shape of Roman aes coinage of the Hadrianic period, with a patinated bronze surface consistent with extended circulation. |
