| Obverse description | Laureate, draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with the paludamentum fastened at the right shoulder, the drapery visible across the left shoulder and chest. The emperor is depicted with his characteristic short beard and curly hair beneath the laurel wreath, rendered in the naturalistic Antonine portrait style. The beaded border frames the peripheral legend in the field. The effigy is executed in high relief, conveying the imperial gravitas typical of Hadrianic bronze coinage struck at Rome. |
