| Obverse description | Bare-headed and draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered with characteristic curly hair and short beard in the Hellenistic style for which Hadrian was renowned. The portrait displays a high level of sculptural realism typical of Hadrianic coinage. A circular Latin legend runs along the inner border of the coin, reading clockwise around the portrait. The flan is slightly irregular, as is common for hammered bronze coinage of the period. |

| Reverse description | The personification of Pax, goddess of Peace, seated left on a throne or chair, rendered in draped attire with fine linear folds visible in the relief. She extends her right hand forward holding an olive branch, symbol of peace, while her left hand rests on a long vertical sceptre. The senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) appears in the field to either side of the central figure, flanking the throne. The composition is characteristic of Hadrianic reverse types celebrating imperial virtues. |
